Ms. Mariyam Noordeen

President

Mariyam Noordeen is the founder of the Chefs Guild of Maldives, and has spent over 30 years in human capital development for tourism in the Maldives.

She holds a Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management from the United Kingdom. Fulfilling a vital role in running the School of Hotel and Catering Services, and the establishment of the Maldives National University’s Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies (FHTS), she went on to become the faculty’s first Dean and witnessed more than 4,000 students graduate during her tenure.

She is a recipient of the National Award of Recognition (People Development in Tourism) and the Tourism Gold Award by the Government of Maldives in 2022.
